What does Blacxird do?
We are a Chennai-based hardware engineering and fabrication studio. We take products from feasibility and design through prototyping and small-batch fabrication (10–500 units), and also build renewable-energy hardware and our Bapsule modular pods.
Who do you work with?
Hardware startups and founders without an in-house engineering team, and industrial or manufacturing clients who need custom tooling, jigs, fixtures and low-volume parts.
Can I start with just an idea or a sketch?
Yes. A sketch or a rough concept is enough to begin. We start with a feasibility and DFM review so you know what is realistic — and what it will cost — before committing to detailed design.
What production volumes do you handle?
Small-batch runs of roughly 10 to 500 units in-house, with first-article inspection and quality checks. Beyond that, our verified vendor network scales production reliably.
Where are you based and how fast do you respond?
Our workshop is in Ayanambakkam, Chennai. We reply to enquiries within one business day — reach us through the contact form, email, or WhatsApp.
