Yes — that's the SHELFi model. Founders and their engineers work hands-on with Blacxird's tools and machinery, with Blacxird technicians supporting the operations that need a trained hand and guiding the DFM decisions along the way.

What's the difference between Blacxird and a contract manufacturer?

A contract manufacturer takes your drawings and returns finished units, usually at volumes and tickets a startup can't yet justify. Blacxird gives you workshop access, machinery, and engineering guidance to build and prove your own prototype first — feasibility-first, before any tooling spend.

Do I need my own workshop to build a hardware prototype in Chennai?

No — that's the specific gap Blacxird fills. Engineers with a concept but no fabrication floor can use Blacxird's space, tools, and machinery in Ayanambakkam, Chennai, with technician support for welding, wiring, and calibration.

Is BAPSULE a separate company from Blacxird Industries?

No — BAPSULE is the modular-infrastructure brand of Blacxird Industries Pvt. Ltd. Blacxird builds the platform; BAPSULE brings it to market as factory-built pods and franchise solutions.

How fast can a BAPSULE pod actually go live on-site?

Typically around 72 hours of on-site work once the pod is dispatched — forklift placement, commissioning and a Site Acceptance Test. Factory build time before that runs 12–40 working days depending on the product line.

Can I buy one pod, or does BAPSULE only work at scale?

Both. A single pod can be bought outright or leased for a pilot; the same chassis and process scale to a multi-pod cluster or a citywide network once a format is proven.
